Introduction
Spam remains one of the most persistent problems in modern email communication. Despite decades of technological improvements in filtering, authentication, and infrastructure security, unsolicited messages continue to reach users every day. At Hide-My-Email.info, our goal is not only to hide users’ real email addresses through aliases, but also to actively reduce the amount of unwanted or malicious communication that reaches their inboxes. Our roadmap focuses on building practical tools that allow users to control how messages reach them, limit exposure to spam campaigns, and protect their email identity without complicating everyday communication.
Our Approach to Spam Protection
Email privacy and spam protection are closely connected. The more widely an email address spreads across the internet, the more likely it is to appear in marketing databases, leaked datasets, or automated spam lists. Hide-My-Email.info was designed to address this challenge by giving users the ability to separate their online identities using email aliases while maintaining seamless two-way communication with the outside world. Instead of relying solely on traditional spam filters, our approach focuses on giving users control over how messages are accepted, ignored, or filtered before they reach their inbox.
Spam Protection Features Available Today
Hide-My-Email.info already includes several features designed to help users reduce spam exposure and maintain control over their email identities.
Ignoring Emails Assigned to Aliases
Users can configure an alias to ignore incoming emails. This makes it possible to quickly stop unwanted communication when an alias begins receiving spam or excessive marketing messages. Instead of dealing with spam filters or blocking individual senders, users can simply instruct the system to ignore messages directed to that alias.
10-Minute Aliases
Temporary aliases allow users to create short-lived email addresses that automatically expire after a brief period. These aliases are useful for situations where a user needs to provide an email address for a quick verification or one-time interaction but does not want to expose a permanent contact point.
Outgoing Spam Detection
To protect the reputation of the platform and maintain healthy email delivery, emails sent by users are scanned for spam characteristics. This helps prevent misuse of the service and ensures that Hide-My-Email.info remains a trusted sender in the global email ecosystem.
Features Planned for 2026
In 2026 we plan to introduce several new features that further strengthen spam protection while keeping the service simple and user-friendly. Features not included in selected plans will be available as add-ons.
Ignoring All Emails After the First Message
This feature allows users to configure an alias so that only the first incoming message is accepted. All subsequent emails sent to that alias will be ignored automatically. The feature will be available directly when creating an alias, allowing users to enable it with a single click. This approach follows a “set it and forget it” philosophy: users can create a one-time contact address without worrying about future spam. This feature will be available to users on all plans.
Ignoring Emails Outside Allowed Domains or Senders
Users will be able to configure aliases so that only messages from specific email addresses or domains are accepted. Emails sent from other sources will be ignored automatically. The system can optionally remove unauthorized senders from forwarded emails and include a note in the message indicating that the sender was removed. This feature will be available to users on all plans and will help reduce unwanted communication from unknown sources.
Warnings for Senders Outside the Allowed List
For users on the For Two and Family plans, the system will be able to detect messages from senders outside the configured allowed list and add a warning annotation to the forwarded email. This helps users quickly identify messages that may not originate from expected contacts without blocking the communication entirely.
Ignoring Emails Written in Selected Languages
Users on the Family plan will be able to specify languages that should be ignored. If an incoming email is detected as being written in one of the selected languages, the message will be blocked and not forwarded to the user’s inbox. This feature helps reduce spam campaigns that frequently rely on specific language patterns.
Intelligent Pre-Rejection of Emails — SPAM Hammer
One of the most advanced features planned for 2026 is SPAM Hammer, an intelligent pre-rejection mechanism. Instead of accepting every incoming message and filtering it afterward, the system will analyze sender patterns and determine which senders are legitimate for a given alias. Messages from recognized senders will be delivered normally, while messages from potentially unauthorized sources may be temporarily rejected during the SMTP delivery process. Legitimate senders can retry delivery successfully, while automated spam systems often abandon delivery attempts. SPAM Hammer will be available to users on the Family plan.
Antivirus Scanning for Incoming Emails
Users on the For Two and Family plans will benefit from antivirus scanning of incoming messages. Emails will be scanned using selected antivirus engines before being forwarded to the user’s inbox. If malware or malicious attachments are detected, the email will be blocked and the user will receive a notification explaining that the message contained harmful content.
Building a Safer Email Ecosystem
Spam protection is not achieved through a single feature or filter. Instead, it requires a layered approach that combines identity separation, sender validation, intelligent filtering, and proactive threat detection. By expanding the capabilities of Hide-My-Email.info with the features planned for 2026, we aim to give users more control over how their email aliases behave and how messages reach their inboxes.
Looking Ahead
Email remains one of the most important communication systems on the internet, but it also remains one of the most heavily abused. Our roadmap reflects a commitment to improving both privacy and security while keeping email communication simple and reliable. As Hide-My-Email.info continues to evolve, our focus remains the same: empowering users to protect their digital identity, reduce spam exposure, and maintain control over how their contact information is used online.
