QR Code Aliases
We’ve introduced a new feature in Hide-My-Email.info that makes sharing your email address faster and easier. You can now generate a QR code for a new alias and share it instantly with other people. Instead of spelling or typing an email address, simply show the QR code and let the other person scan it. Your alias will be ready to use within seconds. This feature is especially useful during meetings, networking events, conferences, or everyday situations where you want to quickly share contact information. All generated QR codes are one-time use tokens, valid for 15 minutes after creation and 4096 bits tokens, making them extremely difficult to guess. After scanning the QR code, the recipient can immediately download a vCard file with your unique alias. Before downloading, the user can enter any required or optional information, which will be included in the contact details associated with the alias. Simple, quick, and secure.
Availability
• QR Code Aliases are available for all users and all plans.
• The feature is available for both new and existing accounts.
Business Cards
Users on the Family plan also gain access to Business Cards. Business Cards allow you to create a simple contact card that can be shared using a QR code, making it even easier to exchange professional contact details. Business Cards are also available as an optional add-on for users on other plans.
